This is a very nice example of a 1942 dated standard issue black leather hardshell holster for the Luger Pistole 08 (P. 08), which was used by German forces during WWI & WWII. Towards the end of WWI the standard color for pistol holsters was changed from brown to black, and that continued through the WWII Period. The holster is marked on the back with the standard P. 08 designation on the upper right, and has a 1942
